Read on to hear about this weekends junior fixtures!

Boys Results:

U10 Boys Tournament
Won 1 and lost 2 but, the score did not reflect how they all played. The team spirit was great and they showed great determination. Great improvement from their first tournament; well done boys.

U16 Boys vs Belper

0-10
The under 16 boy's travelled to Belper hoping for a decent result following their disappointing defeat against Cambridge a few weeks earlier. The game started fairly evenly and with 15 minutes gone, the score remained 0-0. Belper soon got into their stride and before long, scored their first goal. The Doncaster boys battled hard but could not prevent another 4 goals going in before half time. The 2nd half saw our boys continuing to battle, but unfortunately another 5 goals were conceded. Although this was a heavy defeat, we felt this wasn't a true reflection of the game. We had our chances and battled hard. We showed passion at points during the game and didn't let our heads go down. These types of games are a learning curve and I'm sure the hard work will pay off!

Girls Results:

U10 Girls Tournament

Check out these superstars. What a brilliant set of girls with so much hockey talent. So friendly and caring towards each other. Such a great team spirit and winning mentality that’s come on leaps and bounds since the last tournament at Chesterfield. Today we won 2 games and lost one and made lots of great memories with new teammates. Bring on the next tournament!

U14b Girls Tournament
Well done to the girls in the u14b tournament this morning- played the best hockey by a long way in both games against older and bigger opposition . Sheffield 0-0 don’t know how we didn’t score - Huddersfield 3-3 improved from first match / better in the D / and team spirit going 3-2 down with 2 minutes left then camped in their D with lots of shots and then a brilliant worked deserved equaliser. Great set of girls to coach , all knew after first game what they could improve on and did it second game. A good team needs “run through walls players” and there were plenty of them on show this morning.
Thanks to all the parents for getting all girls there early and vocal support ?
