Travis, a larger than life character, has uniquely led the ladies first team in both North and Midlands conference.
Never one to shy away from stating his mind he is one of few coaches with a larger character than the squad.
Picking up the reins at short notice he managed to get the mix of older and younger players to develop together and finish each season not just in a comfortable mid table position, but has a better team than at the start of the season. This against a typical Doncaster background that means players at this level are fluid and move on to university/work at regular intervals.
The squad under his influence has developed into one that can play some very controlled and attacking hockey which always entertains those fortunate enough to watch it and was partly responsible for them reaching the England Hockey Championship semi final.
The past 3 years has been very testing but also very rewarding in the fact that the junior talent coming through the ranks shows what a great position the club finds itself in. As a team we happy to be back in the north league this year and with some bright new talent and some stalwarts we look to cement our name as a contender for top spot.
Travis now embarks on his third season as coach.

When I first joined the club the feeling of a family and the support from the rest of the club towards both men and woman’s teams made it easy decision to 'raise my hand up' to coach the ladies.
I am lucky enough to have a fantastic support group this year with Matt Gibson being the mastermind and Adi O’Neil being manager and the calm head when needed.
