This weekend was the last weekend of hockey before we take a break for Christmas, with only DHC Ladies 4s having a game. We will be back in January to continue this seasons fixtures. Merry Christmas!

Ladies Results:

SUBC vs DHC Ladies 4s

This was a re-match having played against SUBC for the past two weeks. Previously DHC had drawn and then last week won so it would always be a closely fought match.
Three minutes in to the match Bankers scored from a short corner.
Another 17 minutes later Bankers scored again giving a 2/0 lead.
Within a couple of minutes though DHC were awarded a short corner. After a number of passes within the D it was finally tapped home by R. Ransford. This seemed to give the DHC ladies an extra burst of energy and only a few minutes later A. Laidlaw got another goal home from open play leading to a 2/2 score at half time.

The second half began with several short corners at either end.
Fifteen minutes in to this half R. Ransford made a break away run from the half way line to hit home her second goal of the match.
Bankers were awarded a short corner but a great save by keeper R. Binnie (one of several throughout the game) ensured that Bankers were unable to equalize.
Final score 3/2 win to the L4.
Another great game from the L4 coming back from 2/0 down to win.
