Men's Results:

DHC M2 vs Leeds Adel
3-2

FINALLYYYYY!!!!! A rare sight for the 2s as we faced Leeds Adel at the JSM arena with eyes set on 3 points.
The lads started strong winning possession early on and dominating the Leeds defence. Finally, the golden touch came from Curly who flicked one past the keeper after a well worked flowing team movement. Shortly after, followed a second for the mighty whites from a deflected effort from G Hensh at the top of the D into the far corner.
HT- 2:0
The lads started the second half as we finished the last but due to some good goalkeeping, the score remained 2-0. Leeds were not yet out of the game as they had a reply through Doncaster’s own Fearny who expertly netted an own goal. Donny did have a reply to the shift in momentum as Curly doubled his total for the day with a worldy tomahawk into the top right hand corner. 3-1. With moments left of the match Fearny was determined to double his tally for the day as well by scoring his second own goal of the match. The final whistle went and all 3 points were awarded to the home side.
FT- 3:2
A great win this week puts the lads in a great position heading away to Durham Uni 4s this Saturday.

City of York 3 vs DHC M3

2-1
Men’s 3s lost 2-1, J Bennett scorer

SUBHC 5 vs DHC M4
0-5
Goalscorers: Westx2, Proctor, Harris, Fotheringham

DHC M5 vs Scarborough
0-7
Mens 5’s were at home for a lunchtime push back against Scarborough 2’s. The first 10 minutes saw the sides, who have never met before, test each others strengths and weaknesses , before Scarborough pushed through the Doncaster defence with a well worked goal from open play. This unfortunately set the scene for the rest of the game with Scarborough working harder with cleaner, crisper passing that time and again pulled apart the Doncaster midfield and defence. At half time we were down 4:0 and against the ropes. We regrouped at half time and switched formation to provide greater strength in the middle of midfield and for the next 15 minutes the game was a much more even game with chances at both ends. Regrettably tired legs and a lack of positional discipline and effort set us apart for the opposition and 3 goals followed in quick succession. Full time

Ladies Results:

DHC L1 vs Alderley Edge

2-1
The women's first team played a fierce but important match last Saturday. Entering the game with the intention of winning and earning three points. The girls were certain that the victory was necessary after facing Alderley Edge, who are right above Doncaster in the league.
The girls started off to a strong and dominant start, giving them a 1-0 lead after being awarded a short corner. The girls' hard work and effective game management allowed them to recover from the goal conceded by Alderley Edge, earning them a well-earned victory and a 2-1 final score.
With the girls leaving the pitch with smiles on their faces this further motivates the players to put up a tough challenge against this week's opposition. The ladies will welcome Fylde to the John Marshall Arena this Saturday for a pushback at 3:15 p.m. The girls will be putting a lot of effort into their training to strengthen any areas of weakness in anticipation of a challenging game.

University of Hull vs DHC L3
3-3
The game started off well, with lots of passes and tackles, as the game went on, Hull scored their first goal. We held the game up, until Hull scored again in the first half. So down 2-0 at halftime
After half time energy levels lifted and Doncaster was fighting back. The hard work paid off and after gaining short corners first goal Lauren followed by second by Annie. A breakaway by Hull Uni resulted in a penalty flick followed by, a fantastic stick save by Binnie to keep it 3-2. More pressure by Doncaster resulted in another short corner put in by Ella. Unfortunately another goal didn't come so final score 3-3, good game by all but definitely a game of 2 halves.

DHC L4 vs Chesterfield

2-1
It was another match under the spot lights as L4 met 2nd in the table Chesterfield 2 at home.
The DHC ladies soon got in to the swing of things with several shots on goal in the first ten minutes.
